Reading your work at Shore Poets

Shore Poets needs new readers

The Shore Poets group is always on the lookout for talented writers who would like to read their work to our appreciative audiences

Interested? Then contact us right away!

In the first instance, send an e-mail to: read (at) shorepoets.org.uk

What we need to see is samples of your work (maybe 4–6 items), preferably in the body of your message or in a single attached document. It is not necessary to have been published or to have given a reading before. All we need is good poetry and the willingness to read and present this to the public.

Also, check our Diary for Open Nights.

We often suggest that people participate in our annual open night. Readers have the opportunity to present a short (3 to 5 minute) selection of their work. Please note that since numbers of people express an interest during the course of the year, we generally have a fairly full list in advance of the actual evening. It is unlikely that there will be many on-the-night slots available.

Some advice for readers (linked Nov 2007).
